I’ll never understand why our country continues its absurd campaign against younger folks drinking. The reason it is a problem is because they have made it such a big deal. Some countries don’t even have criminal charges for public intoxication.

Why don’t they just say quadruple check, or triple check because I doubt they give it back and re-ask for it.

There are perks :)
Funny story: a couple days after I turned 19 I went to the liquor store. Must have been the most nervous looking guy in the place. Did not get ID'd. Couple months later I went to Canadian Tire to get some CO2 cartridges and pellets and they ID'd me. Shows how loose it is

True enough, but still. Being as LCBO is a gov't organization there are no real consequences to letting one slip once in a while, a reprimand maybe. In the US they'd probably get fired since one slip could get them shut down.
